You know, no matter how many times I look at the 2008 and 2009 Service Award winners, or speak to any teen out there doing some great work for the planet, I'm always impressed. What oftentimes starts as a small, simple activity, many times grows into a wonderful, multi-faceted conservation project that can have a real, solid impact on the environment.

For all of you teens out there that have or are in the process of carrying out a service project, I applaud you. And for all of you who have joined the site because you're interested in doing one (or for any other reason), I hope you'll take the time to check out what a service project actually is, all of the different types of projects out there, and look into creating an action plan to make it happen.

And if, at any point along your journey, you have any questions at all or need help with anything, please contact me or Nicole Greevy. We are WCS staff members who are devoted to Teens for Planet Earth.
