ECO Canada Scholarship Program is Accepting Applications

ECO Canada awards four Canadian students annually with $2,500 towards their first-year tuition in an environment-related program at any Canadian post-secondary institution. An environment-related program can include, but is not limited to, engineering, sciences, social sciences, and mathematics.

Scholarships are awarded to individuals who have shown leadership in her or his community in the areas of environmental protection, resource management, or environmental sustainability. Qualified students are chosen based on a reference letter and an essay about their environmental accomplishments and ambitions.

The top candidate each year is also awarded the Edit Petrovic Memorial Scholarship. Funding for this scholarship comes from ECO Canada, and friends and family of Edit Petrovic.

To qualify for the ECO Canada scholarship students must:

  • Graduate from high school in 2011
  • Have been accepted into an environment-related program in a Canadian post-secondary institution
  • Have demonstrated leadership in their communities relevant to environmental issues
  • Be a Canadian citizen or landed immigrant

Deadline of May 16th is fast approaching!
