Thanks to a bunch of boyscouts and other teen volunteers, Cedar Falls Park has its hiking trails marked appropriately. We pulled out 26 old posts and remarked the trails with Rhino marking system. It looks great. You can drive a Mack Truck over the sign posts, and they still stand straight and mighty. The posts were pulled out using a lever system and physics - an 8 foot post as a lever, 3 small cinder blocks as a fulcrum and a board to catch the lip of the post. These posts had been in the ground for about 20 years, and we were able to lift them out. Thanks to good ole' physics. Ill keep you all posted on further developments about the interest trail and the renovating of the Johnson Homesite. Here's the lever system. It worked great. Thanks Dad for the help!! Eli
