That is so cool. We have too.I had a recent idea to get the community involved or the schools. It would be called a recycle showdown. The point would be to use recycleable items you have collected over a certain amount of time and make something bas…
Betty,
Great advice. Another big difference that we can make is asking officials to require greener building practices in our communities. Currently, there are very few incentives for builders to create energy efficient homes and buildings are one…
Tips are only as good as they are for only yourself. The world can change but this is a global effort. Everyone needs to pitch in. You have to spread the word. You can do this by talking to county legislatures and giving them suggestions.. talk to y…
We are part of a robotics team. For the project we had to solve a problem. Our problem was how do we tell others about this problem. We found several solutions. They were :
We contacted the president, two of our village trustees, 5 county legislatures, the Bronx Zoo, The Australian Wildlife Hospital, a girl scout who was able to go and discover marine biology. an ecologist(he won the big green help award on the Nickeloedeon Awards, and and The World Wildlife Federation. Along with that we started a recycling program in our communities and raised over 20 dollars which was used to adopt a polar bear and a sea turtle. We also took part in a Save the Trees petition which says that you should replace evry tree you cut down. In future we are planning to plant flowers and trees in our schools and by our local railroads and start clubs in our schools that will accomplish projects bassed on going green and stopping global warming.

Welcome to T4PE! Your project description above is really cool - looks like you are very busy. I'm wondering how/why the robotics team is so involved in conservation (not that I have a problem with it.I don't. It's just that usually robotics teams work with, well, robots)?
