Modern society is a commercial society, and business operations are extremely prosperous. Behind this prosperity, particularly the rapid development of globalization, business competition is exceptionally fierce. Managers will not hesitate to use any kind of method they can in order to gain business resources, increase their market share, gain business opportunities, and increase profits. They will use bribery and unfair business practices. Looking at current practices, today’s commercial bribery is flourishing and spreading. It has become a business transaction that encompasses commercial trade, services and investment, and is a prominent issue for economic livelihood and the development of society. Commercial bribery seriously damages fair competition in market order, encroaches on consumer’s interests, increases production costs, and influences the competitiveness and international image of a company. Commercial bribery can create a breeding ground for corruption and economic crimes. According to the law, adopting forceful countermeasures, firmly and effectively curing the phenomenon commercial bribery, regarding market order as a norm, setting up a robust social credit system, safeguarding rules for fair competition as well as a perfect socialist market system, pushing for the establishment of honest politics, opposing corruption and fighting to increase openness, and constructing a harmonious socialist society all have significant meaning. However, in order to achieve the expected results of controlling commercial bribery, one must first reinforce research on questions such as the meaning of commercial bribery and its basic characteristics, and then one can form a target and adopt rigorous countermeasures.
