Project Frogwatch

Queens Zoo and the Bronx Zoo Herpetology departments are seeking volunteers to participate in a citizen science project to survey frog populations in the greater New York Metropolitan area.  FrogWatch-USA is a nationwide effort to assess frog populations through volunteers trained to distinguish local frog calls, and monitor selected wetland areas. Volunteer schedules are very flexible and the training and monitoring efforts are not as rigorous as they are fun.
